Introduction
The Eurocircle
association underwent considerable developments within
the last years, thanks to the creation of the first junior-employee
in November 2000 but also due to its recognition acquired
on the Marseilles territory because of its many partnerships.
As Eurocircle initiated a partnership with the General
Council of Bouche-du-Rhône in 2000, the association
now receives many requests for advising and overseeing
projects. Thus, Eurocircles’ services are free and
information is provided free of charge. Eurocircle uses
its statute of an association with a no lucrative goal.
Moreover, in addition to the exchanges of trainees, Eurocircle
initiates now projects within the framework of European
programs (programs LIFE, SOKRATES, PEAK EQUAL, Program
Youth Activities etc.).
The
development of the Association Eurocircle
Since 1995,
Eurocircle has developed a European database (EC-data
- 350 organizations and 125 financing programs) and has
been publishing a monthly information bulletin in several
languages for 7 years now, which is distributed around
Europe aiming at initiatives and activities by communities
and pointing out different opportunities to finance projects.
Eurocircle is a independent association for the development
of European projects and is supported by the community
of Marseille.
Since 1999 Eurocircle operates a website which provides
information about European programs of financing and funding
and which includes an interactive platform to search for
partners in Europe. In the same time, Eurocircle was able
to quadruple its employees and it currently counts three
paid employees.
Activities
of the Eurocircle association in 2002
As an organization
of transnational projects, Eurocircle develops and realizes
in co-operation with its partners of the ECC-network (European
contact and communication network) projects in the sectors
of:
-
Information/multimedia
-
Education and vocational training
- Youth/exchanges/training courses abroad
-
Social economy/employment/third sector
-
Management and environmental protection, health and culture.
Consulting
services for association partners, federations, and company
partners were carried out in the framework of sectoral
or regional co-operations. Many projects took profit by
the support of local, regional, national and European
authorities.
