Rationale

The developmentpartnership is started because the knowledge of computersystems in healthcare arrears in relation with the development in computer technology. Patientinformation is badly filed, so the patientinformation is not available adaquatly. That is why a system will be developed in the BMC, that solves this problem. The partnership is started to develop a method for interneteducation and to test this method, so the personell of the hospital will be enabled to educate themselves. Interneteducation is a very wanted development, because the irregular workingtimes in the hospital make a good educationschedule impossible. For this development a good, modular builded, educationprogramm must be developed.


Objective

The objectives are: 1. Development of an method to gage the level of ICT-knowledge of the hospitalpersonel, to qualify the individual needs for ICT-education. 2. To develop ICT-education, based on the individual needs of every kind of employee of the hospital. The education mus be efficient and may not effect the primary workingproces. 3. To test the method in a pilot to experience the effectivity. 4. To make the educationmethod usefull for every organisation in healthcare and to inform all these organisations. To give the individuals the needed education, the present ICT-knowledge must be inventorised. That is why the different specialties are investigated of the present skills in ICT. After that an inventory will be made for the required knowledge for the innovating computersystems and what skills are needed to catch up. These two inventories will be studied to analyse the demand for education. The education will be developed, based on the analyses. The education will be modulized, so the education can be offered to individual needs. The education will be given partly classical. Internetlearning will be the highest priority of the project. Internetlearning will be the innovating development.
